Fall Clean Up Service
Lawn AeratingWhat is lawn aerating and why does it need to be done? A healthy turf requires that water, fertilizer and air be available to the roots of the grass. Over the season the soil becomes compacted. This will cause the roots of the grass to compete for the available resources. When you aerate your lawn you take plugs of soil out leaving area for water, air and fertilizer to get to the roots of your turf. The plugs taken out will crumble into loose soil and relieve the compaction of the soil. High traffic areas require more frequent aeration. Lawn aerating is an important step in keeping a wonderful, healthy, green lawn. |
